L’Etape du Tour, possibly the most prestigious one day sportive in Europe where amateurs get to test their mettle over the exact same course as the Tour de France big guns. Often the pinnacle of ones cycling season I thought it would be useful to put together a 10 step guide to survive L’Etape. Although it’s specifically for the 2017 event from Briancon to the summit of the legendary Izoard, there are some practical tips that can be related to any big ride. So I hope you find it useful.
